Young People

How can I share my views and get involved?

It’s really important to us that we hear more from young people – we need to listen and understand your experiences of being a young person in Northamptonshire and respond to the areas where we can help.

We know many young people are victims of crime themselves – and we want to be able to prevent the crimes from happening in the future.

We won’t achieve this without your help. There are many different ways you can share your views and get involved to help us achieve our aims.

Developing positive relationships between the police and young people

Young people have told us through our focus groups, workshops and surveys about the importance of police officers building and maintaining relationships with them. We commissioned Restorative Solutions to run a series of days which brought together young people and police officers with the aim of developing a more positive relationship between the two.

Check out the video below to see what went on:

Youth Circle

We are in the process of developing a youth circle, using existing youth organisations and forums that are already in place across the county. This will enable us to hear from a wide variety of young people across Northamptonshire at different times.

If you would like to share your views on anything relating to policing or community safety, please contact us.
