Outgoing Police and Crime Commissioner Adam Simmonds (above far right) completed his final act in office this afternoon (Wednesday, 11th May) by joining Northamptonshire Police Chief Constable Simon Edens at a ground breaking ceremony at the site of the new Northamptonshire Police buildings in the north of the county.

Mr Simmonds and Chief Constable Edens cut the turf at the site, which is situated just off the A43 between Kettering and Corby, ahead of building work to create the new Police Investigation Centre and Northern Accommodation Building, which begins tomorrow.
