Be Involved. Be heard. BE THE CHANGE
Do you want to make sure your views and the views of other young people in Northamptonshire are heard, and change services for the better?
The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner invites you to become a member of the Northamptonshire OPFCC Youth Commission.
Applications are open now and close on March 23rd.
What is the Youth Commission on Police, Fire and Crime?
The Youth Commission encourages young people to get involved in, and express their views, on a range of issues affecting the communities where they live.
The Youth Commission of Northamptonshire enables young people to support, challenge and inform the work of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, Mr Stephen Mold, and other services including Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service.
This is an important role, as it helps the Commissioner, Police and Fire make better decisions to meet and understand the needs of local young people.
This will be Northamptonshire’s first Youth Commission.
What will my time commitment be?
The Youth Commission will meet every 4-6 weeks from May 2019 until December 2019 on weekday evenings or during the day at the weekend. Outside of the meetings you will spend some time gathering in the views of young people from other young people across Northamptonshire.
The Youth Commission is a really great opportunity for you to meet new people, gain some great skills, and be an ambassador for other young people. We look forward to getting your application!
