South Northamptonshire councillor Stephen Mold has been elected as the next Police and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire.
Mr Mold (Conservative) polled 58,175 votes in the final round of counting ahead of Kevin McKeever (49,161, Labour), after Sam Watts (UKIP, 27,708) was ruled out following the first round of voting.
Replacing outgoing Police and Crime Commissioner Adam Simmonds, Mr Mold will take Office at 00:00 on Thursday morning.
Following the declaration of results, Mr Mold said he was “humble and proud” to have won the election, and added that it was a “great honour to be voted in to Office by the people of Northamptonshire.”
